We are grateful for so much today.

We are celebrating 10 years.  And we are so grateful.

Grateful to God for 10 years as a non-profit.  But it is so much more than a ministry or an organization.

We are grateful for 10 years of seeing lives rescued, redeemed and the gospel of Jesus released.

10 years ago the land was newly purchased and our first home was being built.  We were laying the ground work to bring in our first children.  We were training Kenyan house parents and visiting the children we had identified in need of a permanent home.  We were led to a Kenyan social worker who would help us find the children truly in need of a home.  Children who were neglected, did not have any safe relatives and facing injustices unimaginable.  Policies and procedures were being written.  And many of you were led to join in to help.

Our hearts are so full of gratefulness.  It’s impossible to write this without tears of joy welling up.

We know that none of this would be possible without God.  He is a Father to the fatherless.  Defender of the weak.  And it is our great privilege to partner with God and with each of you to see children placed in safe and loving families.

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving in America.  And we are offering a way to give thanks to God by wearing on the outside what we all feel on the inside.  Below are our new shirts and a sweatshirt.  All funds will go directly to the Mattaw Children.  If you would like to receive them by Christmas, orders should be placed by November 30th.

We currently have children in college, high school and some that will soon enter college and high school.  We will be sharing more details this week.  We are aiming to raise $10,000 to go towards our education fund to cover costs coming up in January.  So if you would like to make a donation towards this, you can do so as well.

We can’t say thank you enough.  As cliche as it might sound this week.  But truly, we are grateful to all that have helped and continue to help.  As much of the injustices we share of where our children are coming from, even more than that, there’s a beautiful side to Kenya.  A beautiful culture that is more people oriented rather than scheduled oriented.  We love the simplicity of life in Kenya and decided to go with a simple design to go along with our gratefulness.  We hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we do!
